I’m Lydia and I’m passionate about teaching piano and music theory in Twickenham to both children and adults , privately in my home as well as outside the home.
I am very friendly and down-to-earth, and will work hard to produce the best results while ensuring my pupils enjoy their lessons.
I am aware of how performance to others can be a daunting experience when learning to sing or play the piano and so I encourage progress with positive reinforcement and confidence-building, and offer suggestions for change rather than criticism.
I try to ensure that pupils have the opportunity to learn their preferred tunes alongside traditional piano tutor standards so they get to try their favourite classical, pop, musical theatre pieces, this encourages enjoyment and perseverence.

My Story
Born in Greater London and educated locally in Teddington. I am a qualified pianist for events. I offer my talents for classical piano teacher bookings in Twickenham, SW London.
Following years of music training from early years at the Royal Academy of Music, through the Purcell school of music and more recently the Royal Welsh conservatoire, Lydia has developed her skills as a performing musician.
Lydia has developed a very wide range of skills to a high level (grade 8 music ABRSM in singing and piano and more recently a BA in performance Music with her flute/piccolo).
Her experience from young child at the National Childrens’ Orchestra, later at the Royal Academy of Music Symphony orchestra and many many others, has culminated recently in her playing with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
